So! Many things have been going on on my end lately, chief among them: a) Shattered Starlight turned 3!! b) I was accepted into a novel-writing mentorship program (with my manuscript that I started working on around the same time as Starlight)! and c) I’m going back to Japan for vacation…….. like now!
While I’m away, I wanted to post some of my favourite pictures and places we went. There are entirely too many of both, but between here and Fey Winds I should be able to cover a few! These posts will go up for the first three weeks of April while I’m away, and I’ll still read all your comments so behave! ;) First up, the obvious: Food!
Top left is maybe one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life, a super simple but extremely delicious duck & green onion udon soup we had in a tiny village in Gunma (more on that place later). It was witchcraft. I almost cried over how good this soup was.
Next is Tokyo Banana… they sell banana cream cakes. Not a banana fan, but the storefront was super cute.
Next is a market stall in Nishiki Market, Kyoto.
Under that is a lunch from near Yoyogi Park. Then a Taiyaki from Kyoto and finally:
Tsuchiya, the udon/soba place in Shima Onsen, Gunma… and we’re definitely going back there this trip! I think it’s the part I’m most looking forward to… And with that, I’m off!!
